IS PERSONALLY AVAILABLE TO YOU IN THE MIDWEST TO HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR MUSIC GOALS!

John Weakland (MIDWEST)
John is a fifteen year music veteran and has served as both Director of A&R (Artists and Repertoire) and Director of Development at Columbia Records and Capitol/EMI respectively during his career. An "A&R" man is the front line scout of the record label that is responsible for evaluating, signing and developing new talent. In this capacity, John has contributed to 20 gold and platinum records. John's exposure to million selling artists such as Destiny's Child, System of a Down, Mariah Carey, Steve Perry, Aerosmith, Alice in Chains, and Bruce Springsteen makes him an invaluable mentor and teacher.

Few individuals know the components that go into making these artists the musical forces they are today. John has a consummate understanding of the record business, from finding artists at one of the thousands of showcases he has attended, to recording, producing, developing and ultimately selling. In addition, John spent 6 years as a coordinator to American Idol's Randy Jackson.
